A few simple principles keep AntiCirc discussions respectful, useful, and safe.
Our shared agreement
AntiCirc is a space for honest, evidence-minded conversation about circumcision, foreskin restoration, bodily autonomy, and related topics. By participating you agree to the guidelines below. Breaking them may lead to content being removed or access limited.
1. Be respectful and civil
Treat every member with respect and empathy.
- Assume good faith. People come here from very different experiences and beliefs.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Heated topics still deserve a calm tone.
- No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or demeaning language of any kind.
2. Stay on topic
Keep discussions relevant to the thread and the community.
- Post in the category that best fits your topic so others can find it.
- Avoid derailing threads; start a new one if the conversation shifts.
- No spam, advertising, or repeated self-promotion.
3. Cite your sources
Support claims with reliable, verifiable references.
- When you state facts or research, link to a credible source.
- Distinguish personal experience from medical or legal claims.
- Be open to correction when better evidence is presented.
4. No personal attacks
Focus on ideas, not individuals.
- No insults, name-calling, threats, or attempts to intimidate.
- Do not reveal or demand anyone’s private/identifying information (no doxxing).
- Report problems instead of retaliating.
5. Protect privacy & anonymity
This is an anonymous-by-default community.
- Don’t share personal details that could identify you or others.
- Respect that many members post anonymously for good reasons.
- You can post anonymously when creating a thread.
6. Be supportive & safe
Many discussions here are personal and sensitive.
- Lead with compassion in stories about health, trauma, or restoration.
- This community is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care.
- If you or someone is in crisis, please seek qualified help right away.
